Dottu is a drawing app designed for couples. You can draw and send illustrations to your partner, play fun drawing games together, and feel connected through creative expression — no matter the distance.

Dottu automatically creates your account using your Apple iCloud. Just download the app and open it — no email, password, or sign-up form needed. Make sure you're signed into iCloud on your device.

One of you generates a unique pairing code in the app and shares it with the other. Your partner enters the code on their device, and you're instantly connected! You can also share the code via message or any messaging app.

Currently, Dottu is available only on iOS (iPhone and iPad). We're exploring an Android version for the future — stay tuned!

Dottu includes a variety of brushes, colors, an eraser, undo/redo, and more. Free users get basic tools, while Dottu+ members unlock the full toolkit including text, photos, stickers, and additional brush styles.

ThumbKiss is a real-time connection feature. When both you and your partner press the screen at the same spot simultaneously, you'll feel a gentle vibration — as if your thumbs are touching through the screen. It's a beautiful way to feel close when you're apart.

Add the Dottu widget to your home screen to see your partner's latest drawing at a glance. Every time they send a new drawing, your widget updates automatically. It's like a tiny art gallery from your loved one, right on your home screen.

Dottu tracks your drawing activity and shows fun statistics — like total drawings exchanged, streaks, most active days, and more. At the end of each month, you can also watch a replay video of all the drawings you and your partner shared.

Yes! Dottu is free to download and use. The free tier includes 5 drawings per day with basic drawing tools and the "Complete the Half" game. For unlimited drawings and all premium features, you can upgrade to Dottu+.

Dottu+ is available for $2.99/month or $19.99/year (save 44%). One subscription covers both you and your partner — no need for two separate subscriptions!

No! When one person subscribes to Dottu+, both partners automatically get premium access. Unlike competing apps that charge per person, Dottu believes a couple should pay as one.

You can cancel anytime through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Dottu+. You'll continue to have premium access until the end of your current billing period. You can also restore purchases from the app's profile settings.

Yes! Go to your profile in the app and tap your username to change it. Usernames must be at least 3 characters long. Multiple users can have the same username since your account is identified by your iCloud ID.

Go to Profile → scroll to the bottom → "Delete Account". This permanently removes your profile, all drawings (sent and received), and your partner pairing. This action cannot be undone. Active subscriptions should be cancelled separately through Apple.

Absolutely. Your drawings are only visible to you and your paired partner. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. We do not display ads. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

Yes, you can unpair at any time from the app settings. This removes the connection between both accounts. Previously shared drawings remain unless you choose to delete your account entirely.

Make sure notifications are enabled for Dottu in your device Settings → Notifications → Dottu. Also check that you haven't enabled Focus mode or Do Not Disturb, which can block notifications.

Try removing the widget and adding it again. Make sure you're signed into iCloud and that the Dottu app is not force-closed. Widgets update periodically based on iOS system schedules, so there may be a short delay.

Pairing codes expire after a short time. Generate a new code and make sure your partner enters it exactly as shown. Both devices need an active internet connection. If the problem persists, try closing and reopening the app.
