Dottu ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Dottu mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you use Dottu, we automatically create an account using your Apple iCloud identifier. We collect:

• iCloud ID — Used as your unique account identifier. We do not access your Apple ID email or personal iCloud data.
• Username — A display name you choose within the app.
• Profile Picture — An optional avatar image you upload.

Content You Create

• Drawings — Images you draw and send to your partner.
• Reactions & Stickers — Reactions you send on received drawings.
• Game Data — Drawings created during in-app games.

Usage Data

• Drawing statistics — Count of drawings sent/received, streaks, and activity patterns for in-app features like Weekly Stats.
• Device information — Device language/locale for localization purposes.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications, we store your device token (FCM Token) to deliver notifications about new drawings, nudges, and partner activity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide core app functionality — sending and receiving drawings with your partner.
• To enable pairing between you and your partner.
• To deliver push notifications about new content.
• To display your drawing statistics and activity summaries.
• To power drawing games and collaborative features.
• To improve the app experience through anonymized usage analytics.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure:

• Cloud Firestore — For user profiles, drawing metadata, and pairing data.
• Firebase Storage — For drawing images and profile pictures.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging — For push notification delivery.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/SSL). Firebase infrastructure is SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 certified.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only shared in these limited cases:

• Your Partner — Drawings and reactions you send are visible to your paired partner.
• Service Providers — Firebase (Google) for infrastructure, RevenueCat for subscription management, Apple for App Store transactions.
• Legal Requirements — If required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Third-Party Services

Dottu uses the following third-party services:

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — View your profile data within the app.
• Update — Change your username and profile picture at any time.
• Delete — Permanently delete your account and all associated data through the app settings. This removes your profile, all drawings (sent and received), reactions, and uploaded files.
• Unpair — Remove your partner connection at any time.

7. Children's Privacy

Dottu is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

• Your profile is immediately removed.
• All drawings (sent and received) and associated files are permanently deleted.
• Your partner's pairing is removed.
• This process is irreversible.

9. Home Screen Widget

Dottu offers a home screen widget that displays your partner's latest drawing. The widget accesses only the most recent drawing data and does not collect any additional information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Dottu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
